Tim Brown (The Doctor) has been repairing boat motors for over 20 years. What started as a successful mobile service quickly grew requiring a permanent location as well.

While mobile service is still an option for consumers, the Boat Doctor now has a great location in Madison just off the Beltline (Highways 12 & 18) at Route 51.

Our goal is to provide customer satisfaction and efficient
workmanship to allow consumers an enjoyable boating season.

Tim Brown
("The Doc") is co-owner. He has a wide variety of knowledge and experience (20+ years) in boat motor repair, specializing in Mercury and Mercruiser engines. In 2005, the Boat Doctor became an authorized service dealer for Volvo Penta. The business has also been a member of AMTECH (Association of Marine Technicians) since 2001. This association is dedicated to enhancing the skill level and professionalism of all marine technicians. The goal of AMTECH is to improve the quality of marine service and repair industry wide. Tim is helpful in educating consumers with tips on keeping their boats/motors maintained. He is dedicated, hardworking and persistent.

Kathi Brown
("Mrs. Boat Doc") is co-owner. Kathi wears many hats handling the bookkeeping, keeping the technicians supplied with work, dealing with consumers in person and over the phone, looking up parts, placing orders, tracking inventory, and making sure the business runs smoothly. Kathi has completed marine management and service writing training and stays abreast of what is happening in the marine industry.
